Classified as vulnerable and confined to a small area of the Western Ghats in Kerala and neighbouring Tamil Nadu, Nilgiri Langurs were yet another endemic primate we came face-to-face with on the trip. Unlike the requisite macaques, they show no interest in humans (or their junk food) and while not especially shy, keep a sensible distance from their less respectful cousins.
