Filey, 31 from '13 - #16

Back on the shoreline, and in amongst the wealth of waders stopping off en route from the Arctic to destinations further south included this pristine juvenile Curlew Sandpiper. One of many memorable experiences from the Brigg this summer, the bird had an extraordinary tameness shown by some waders who have evidently yet to come into contact with humans, and happily trotted towards and around me for a good half hour or so.
