Apologies for losing the thread there somewhat, a bit distracted for some reason..... anyway, back in the saddle with this Whimbrel, from the Dams back in May. It's been a great year for wader passage generally, and Whimbrels were especially numerous - over a hundred a day in the peak period, often in large flocks.
