From the hallowed coastal turf of Carr Naze in the middle of May, a stunning male Red-spotted Bluethroat. After becoming increasingly rare in recent years, this bird was part of a small and welcome influx on the east coast, and (once left to settle) was a joy to watch, even singing loudly into the fog.
