It's been a rollercoaster few days here in Filey, deserving of a more comprehensive bulletin, to follow in a day or two; for now then, a thrillingly tame and subtly beautiful Curlew Sandpiper I stumbled upon (almost literally) at the end of the Brigg this evening.
A first view, standing out within a group of Dunlins and Purple Sandpipers |
Walking purposefully towards me, unlike all the other waders present |
Via a couple of commoner relatives |
A little distal rhynchokinesis |
And so close and unruffled as to require my backing off to get the camera focusing |
