Numbers of Sandwich, Arctic and Common Terns have been steadily building up on and around the Brigg over recent days (although as yet not to the degree that would ideally pull in, say, a stray Bridled Tern ambling down the coast), including small and vocal family parties. This juvenile Common Tern purposely landed on the (far from calm) water's surface whenever its parent made a successful dive, as opposed to on the nearby rocks, as would normally be expected.
