A fantastic morning's birding in the Ovda valley (see last post) was punctuated by a ridiculously close, look-em-in-the-eye encounter with this beautiful beast - a Steppe Eagle, lazily circling low and directly above our heads before cracking on with its nortbound migration. Epic.
